Many of our lessons utilize all our minis horses, goats, sheep, chickens, donkeys and our alpaca. Your role will be helping the participants through the lesson, providing guidance, encouragement and being a buddy. Super fun and no experience necessary!
The leader's responsibility is the horse at all times. The leader helps maintain the horse's pace, calmness and focus while allowing the rider to do as much as he or she is able. This role is perfect for those that are familiar with horses or are interested in learning how to work with a horse.
The sidewalker's role is to help the rider with balance and reinforce instructions in the lesson. The sidewalker's responsibility is the rider: Interpreting instructions, providing physical support, offering encouragement, and supervising. This role is perfect for those that enjoy interacting with the rider hands on.
As a groomer you will be responsibile for brushing and bathing the big and mini horses. The love it and so will you!
Barn helpers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and function of the barns as well as individual horse stalls, paddocks and arenas. Activities include mucking stalls, cleaning water buckets. This role is perfect for those with varying schedules, or prefer taking care of the horses.
We heavily rely on our team of volunteers to help with event preparation, execution and break-down. This role is perfect for those with seasonal availability or skills in event planning or fundraising.
